About Me

I am an educational/instructional designer working as an education policy officer in higher education. I am a front-end developer and digital creative, train teaching staff in implementing blended learning and educational technologies and speak instructional design fluently.

My current involvements include virtual and augmented reality in education, the use of blended learning and lecture capturing as well as implementing educational technologies and the NGDL (Next Generation Digital Learning Environment) at Artevelde UAS.

I have gathered experience in integrating open educational resources and micro-credentialing in and outside the curriculum. Additionally, I am involved in international projects that facilitate co-creation of study materials and the development of virtual game simulations.

Via teacher training activities and several international programmes (such as cocos.education), I am fortunate to use and grow my expertise and interests. I furthermore investigate new professional development methods for teachers and supporting staff.

As one of the first to integrate H5P's LTI in early development phase, I took along learning technologists and educational developers in utilising accessible self-authoring systems. I am co-responsible for introducing novel technologies and innovations to the school, such as learning analytics, open badges and open pathways (microcredentials), virtual simulation games, extended realities and more.

In 2019 the team I was part of and our uni-oas was recognised for its outstanding innovation by Instructure during our first year implementing the new LMS Canvas. Thanks to a global mindset I can rely on a great and inspirational network of educational technologists and developers from Scandinavia to Canada all the way to Melbourne, Australia.
